I have to say that Mr. Frye the principle is one of the most involved leaders I have ever seen . He is never too busy to talk to a student or parent. His staff will work as hard as possible to assist a student who seeks help. Both of my sons , one graduated in 2006 ranked 16th in his class, and my youngers is now a senior ranked 10 th in his class. If your children are motivated, they will have an opportunity to get a good education. The building is old but the teachers are generally dedicated and interested. Indian River high school is an excellent start to a better future. The principal (Mr. Frye) is amazing and stays in touch w his students. When a student is having a hard time there is a teacher around every corner eager to help you. This, coupled with the exceptional leadership of the principal and the caring, competent staff, make Indian River one of Chesapeake's better high schools.
